Atlanta in 2008 with a Patisserie and Baking degree. Time to start the business right? Wrong! After that, I went through a series of employers from being a pastry chef at Wolfgang Puck, to a hospitality manager at Chick-Fil-A, to a customer service representative at Verizon Wireless and a whole bunch in between. I was entirely unaware while working for these employers that God was allowing each one of these experiences to provide little nuggets that would help me be well rounded for such a time as this. After years of working for other employers there was one thing that stayed constant, CAKE!
At this point it was just a hobby to help others celebrate their special occasions but God had other plans for this gift and little did I know those plans were about to be born. In 2020 we all were faced with some tough decisions and one of mine was to continue to be employed and have my family health at risk or find a different avenue to assist in providing for my family. God allowed all things to work together and his plan allowed me to turn my hobby into a business. This allows me to have a healthy balance between work and raising a family all while being a LADY BOSS and providing an exceptional customer experience along with creating an unforgettable Sweet Treat. So are you a Doctor, Lawyer, Teacher or maybe you are a stay-at-home mom, fitness instructor, or a coach? You could even be a first responder, caregiver, or in the customer service industry. Whatever hat you wear it’s ok with us. Here at HannahB’s Sweets our goal is to make the Sweet things in your life that much Sweeter.
I always knew that creating Sweet Treats was a talent of mine but what I didn’t understand back then is that it was a God given gift waiting to be discovered. Upon graduating from high school I enrolled into UNC Pembroke to pursue a degree in social work. It has always been a deep passion of mine to help others no matter how small or large the task was. Crying in my dorm room every night I quickly realized that social work was a great avenue to help others but CAKE filled an undeniable void. In this I made the toughest decision of my life. I had to give up a fully funded education and I enrolled in a private institute and took out student loans. Call me crazy right?? I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Le Cordon Bleu
I had HannahB's make 3 cakes for my daughters birthdays and they were amazing. The customer service was out of this world and they were very responsive. Thanks Shaunetta Hill-Hannah for the cakes! As always It was beautiful and delicious!
